We are currently looking for four individuals to join our graduate training scheme. There will be opportunities to work on placements in other locations in Europe, Asia and Australia. This scheme lasts for fifteen months and gives comprehensive training in Annual Funds and the principles behind educational fundraising. The educational fundraising sector is a booming area of the world economy. Practitioners are in short supply and remuneration can now be very considerable. However, it is hard to get into this sector as most employers want experience.
We train on running phone campaigns, motivating callers and achieving exceptional fundraising and affinity results. But our campaign managers also deal extensively with clients, understanding their needs and schooling them on how to work to achieve an effective campaign. Because our campaign managers work at many client sites, they gain a much greater insight than virtually anyone entering the profession and, as a result, they are in very high demand when they finish their internship with us.
Graduate trainee positions are paid. We also provide accommodation. The combination of salary and low living costs means is very attractive straight after the costs of university. However, more crucially, we also send our interns to the CASE Spring Institute, the world's leading induction course for educational fundraising and you will attend at least one major conference giving you the chance to develop a network in the profession. Like most consultancies we are able to offer long-term posts to some of our graduate trainees on completion, but we also help those who want to spread their wings find an excellent position in the industry. Several of our former staff are now Development Directors, Major Gifts fundraisers and Annual Giving managers at institutions across the world.
Joining RBA is a blue-chip entry into the profession. We have worked with more than half the colleges in Oxbridge, many of the UK's leading schools and universities as well as some of the top universities in Germany and the Far East and several of the Group of 8 in Australia. Our work is highly regarded and this is a good name to place on a fundraising CV.
The position would suit someone leaving university, or someone who already has a fundraising background who wishes to broaden and deepen their experience.
